Chinese Democracy

I have had it with Guns N' Roses. First of all let me say that I like them as much as the next guy should. Appetite for destruction was a great album, Slash is a pretty good Guitarist. But its not like they reinvented rock music, or even innovated all that much. They are just very accessible and present melodic rock tunes (great for stadiums and sports highlihgts). Having said this, I don't understand why anyone gives a shit about AXL Rose's bastard version of GNR. Everyone keeps talking about Guns N' Roses new album, "Chinese Democracy", that has been hyped for TEN YEARS. Why was anyone still talking about this after five? Its not like a Led Zeppelin reunion. Anyways, this album will have to be phenomenal for me to pick it up and I mean phenomenal.

P.S. I think that the song above, "Shackler's Revenge", off the new album sucks. Ass. What do you Think?

Entourage Review

With only two episodes left of season five, I thought it might be time to do a review of what we've seen so far of the show. We talked about Entourage both on my show and on my guest spot on Mike Flynn's show, "Monday Night Live" (4-6 Mondays). As many people have agreed, so far this season has to be an improvement over season four, which was by far the worst stretch entourage fans have had to endure so far. There have been plenty of good cameos, Ari moments, and funny guest spots from return characters like Bob Ryan and Josh Weinstein. Vince has been humble, although all conclusions so far are that he is incapable of acting. Drama has been a dick, albeit funny. Turtle has had a couple good story lines, such as his plane ride with Meadow Soprano.

Last night's episode gets a four out of five from the S & M show. It featured an absolutely classic Ari moment (you nasty twat), as well as some funny work from a repeat appearance by Seth Green (above). Rumor has it that next week Vince gets booted from "Smoke Jumpers", and the boys head back to NYC to chase down a project (i've heard Queens Boulevard 2 or The Ramones project.)

We will be talking about all this and more pointless pop culture blather on the show as usual, so tune in.

EDIT: I forgot to mention, a SINGLE Sloan made an appearance last night, possibly foreshadowing a revival of her and E's relationship. Since, as Seth puts it, she is impossibly hot, this can only be a good thing.

TheRadio.com: Better than Pandora

My Aunt recently e-mailed me a website she thought I might be interested in and boy was she right. TheRadio.com - a streaming radio station with over 100 channels spanning all genres. You can browse by Genre, access a list of songs you've recently heard, and skip songs you don't like. Best of all, you can search by Artist or Songs to find stations you might like. BETTER than that, its free. For those of you who liked Pandora or Slacker Radio, try this little gadget out its pretty cool.
